Tianjin University – Xinyu Joint Research Center for Coatings Technology Unveiled

On January 27, 2024, Tianjin University - Xinyu Joint Research Center for Coatings Technology was unveiled. Yang Xianjin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin University, Qi Zhongbo, Deputy Secretary of the Xiqing District Committee of Tianjin Municipality, Wang Tianyou, Vice President of Tianjin University, and Du Baoxin, Chairman of Xinyu Color Plate Co. Ltd., among others, attended the event.

Vice President Wang Tianyou and Chairman Du Baoxin delivered speeches on behalf of Tianjin University and Xinyu Color Plate Co. Ltd. respectively. Vice President Wang Tianyou stated that the establishment of Tianjin University - Xinyu Joint Research Center for Coatings Technology (Joint Research Center) is conducive to the transformation of scientific research achievements of Tianjin University and conforms to the layout concept of the University’s research system and talent cultivation with characteristics and strategic orientation. In his speech, Du Baoxin expressed Xinyu Color Plate Company’s dedication to becoming a global expert in coated steel plate solutions and a leader in high-end color-coated plate. He emphasized the significance of the Joint Research Center in deepening collaboration with Tianjin University and facilitating the transformation of innovative scientific and technological achievements.

Established in 2002 in Xiqing District in Tianjin, Tianjin Xinyu Color Plate Co., Ltd. stands as a pioneering high-tech enterprise specializing in the manufacturing, R&D, and sales service of color-coated steel plates. Its annual comprehensive production capacity of color-coated plates reaches 3.5 million tons, with an output value of about 20 billion yuan. The company was awarded “China’s Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises,” among other honors. Notably, in 2022, Xinyu Color Plate Co., Ltd. was among the prestigious “Single-product Champion Enterprises” honored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for its innovative functional color-coated plates.
